Welcome the arrival of Spring with a renewed sense of inspiration!
Celebrate the Spring EquinoxÂ
19 March & 26 March 2024 |Â 4pm EDT/5pm ADTÂ
Start the season inspired by new possibilities!
We write to gain understanding and find our truth. Once clarified on the page we carry these intentions forward into our lives, hearts and psyches through stitching some of that truth into the shape of words combined with the stitched blessings sashiko patterns contain such as hope, health, prosperity, fortune & longevity.
Getting Grounded
Session one begins with a guided meditation with Suzi to get us tuned into ourselves and feeling centered.
Find Your Truth
With writing prompts and questions from Suzi, session one will help you move from feeling uninspired into a place of creativity.
Stitched Intentions
We'll reflect on our writing from session one, and in session two we'll select a word that resonates and manifest our intentions through stitch.
How it works:
This workshop will be delivered over two days, with Suzi leading the first session on 19 March 2024 and Kate leading the second on 26 March 2024.
Suzi Banks Baum: Session One | 19 March 2024
In this 90-minute Creativity Session, Suzi will lead a centering meditation, followed by writing prompts designed to get your pen or pencil active on a blank page.
Respond to questions from Suzi on your journal page, using lists and free writing, to fertilize the small seeds of your interior knowing that hide just below the surface, waiting to be tended by your attention. You will leave this session with new tools to support a daily writing habit, and freshly turned up insight into your soul’s desire for the spring season.
Everyone who wants to start spring inspired and shiny with possibility is invited to attend. No previous writing experience is necessary. Please bring a journal and writing instruments, and a cup of tea.
Kate Ward: Session Two | 26 March 2024
Our second 90-minute session will be led by Kate Ward and will focus on stitching our intentions as we enter the new season.
Following on from Suzi's session, we will be choosing some words that resonate with our intentions and combining them with stitch. Many sashiko stitches have deeper meanings intwined in them, and we can discuss and select stitches that resonate with the intentions you wish to stitch.
For this session, you'll want to bring along fabric, needles, and threads that you love to work with, as well as your writing from the previous session and your favourite hot drink!
