That's ok. Whilst I encourage participating in these chats, they are not an essential part of the course. Our Zoom meet ups will be recorded and uploaded to the course player so you can view them at anytime.
Hey creativity seeker!
Are you looking to quiet the chaos of daily life and find peace in your stitches?
Release the pressure to rush the process or perfect every stitch. Discover calm, creativity, and connection as you slow stitch with purpose.
Instead of having a stack of amazing completed stitched projects you can share with your friends, do you find yourself...
Unsure where to begin
You have a vision of the beautiful Sashiko pieces you want to create, but getting started feels overwhelming. The uncertainty of that first stitch is holding you back.
Struggling to find time
You want to carve out moments for creativity, but daily responsibilities keep getting in the way. When you finally sit down to stitch, you feel rushed, or simply don't know where to begin.
Feeling isolated in your stitching journey
You crave communityâothers who understand your passion for Sashiko, share tips, and offer encouragementâbut finding like minded friends is difficult.
Dedicated stitching time with a supportive community can make all the difference.
If you're feeling stuck, overwhelmed, struggling to finish projects, or unsure where to begin â itâs not your fault.
You just havenât been given the right tools yet!
Â
In the Sashiko Stitch Club, you'll find...
Support and Guidance
When it comes to trying something new, getting started can sometimes be the hardest part. Get calm and gentle support with a module on how to get started, and guidance along each step of the way.
Dedicated Gathering Time
Find the time to slow down, focus and make space for creativity. With dedicated online gatherings each month, we are more likely to make that extra time for our artistic pursuits.
Community
Experience a warm and friendly environment in our private community, away from social media, where you can share your creative wins and ask any questions you might have in a space that's free of judgement.
Progress
We believe there is no such thing as a mistake, and our community celebrates progress over perfection. Sashiko is about the journey â stitch-by-stitch, you'll begin creating beautiful pieces you can share with pride.
Peace of Mind
There is a beautiful, meditative power to handwork, and Sashiko is no exception. With each pull of needle and thread through fabric, you'll feel the stress melt away, replaced by your new creations.
You deserve a way to create that feels natural and supportive. In the Sashiko Stitch Club, youâll learn to embrace your pace and how to work with your creativity â not against it. Here, we slow down, we breathe, and we stitch with purpose, together.
It's All Possible, and Hereâs a Little Secret About Your Creativity:
We use creative thinking every dayâwhether itâs planning a project, organizing supplies, or deciding what to tackle next. Creativity isnât just about making beautiful things; it encompasses everything from solving everyday problems to finding joy in our downtime.Â
If youâre feeling stuck or overwhelmed, youâre not alone! Challenges like perfectionism or lack of tools are common, but you can learn to navigate these at any stage.
With the support of our community, youâll discover ways to finish projects, enjoy stitching, and understand your unique creative process. Letâs turn hurdles into stepping stones on your creative journey!

"I have been part of Zen Stitching for only a year but everyone is so welcoming
that it feels like we are all friends for a long time. I much enjoy the stitching projects and Kate's calm and warm way of teaching. Zen Stitching taught me how to slow down and concentrate in the moment. I am a much happier person after I stitch for a little bit.

"The gift of slow, meditative stitching has been life-changing for me, I enjoy each part of the
process, from drawing the pattern to the movement of thread and needle through each stitch. Kate introduces each sashiko pattern with clear instructions in her calm soothing manner. She offers insight into the history of sashiko as well as creative ways to use it for mending and decorative projects. The Stitch Club community is a wealth of inspiration, full of kind generous people. I am grateful for this daily stitching practice and the power of meditative stitching."

"I canât speak highly enough of Zen Stitching. As a busy Mom of two little boys
and small business owner, it hasnât always been easy to carve out time to craft. As I reflect on the past year that Iâve been a member of Zen Stitching, I am floored by just how many projects Iâve completed. Not only am I learning and making beautiful sashiko patterns, but my creative spark is lit and Iâm quilting again, baking a ton, weaving, painting, making paper mache. I feel both inspired and brave enough to dive into new territory. Kate is a true gem, a sincere and kind human who is very genuine. Itâs clear that she truly pays attention to her members and makes them feel supported. Amy who helps her is extremely organized and wonderful and has always answered me quickly and been ready to help. Having others in the group creating keeps inspiration and energy levels high. I had originally planned to join briefly because I donât love the idea of monthly fees, but Kate continues to offer such amazing content that is free to members, there is no reason to end membership. Itâs valuable and relevant and not to be missed. If youâre thinking about signing up, take the leap. Your whole life may change as a result, I know mine did. "

Hi, I'm Kate!
It's nice to meet you!
I've been a textile artist my whole life. Growing up in a creative family led me to study textiles at Art School twice achieving both my Bachelor and Masters in Fine Arts. I've had some wonderful opportunities to combine my love of art with my love of travel, studying and creating all over the world.Â
As well as my passion for textiles, it's also important to me to live meaningfully and sustainably. I rolled all these passions together with Zen Stitching, and by embracing the beautiful and practical designs of sashiko stitching, I'll help you not only mend your clothes, but also reduce textile waste and practice mindfulness.
